Want to volunteer to keep local streets spiffy? Awhile back, we had a story about Adopt-a-Highway volunteer opportunities. Many cities and towns have their own Adopt-a-Street programs as well.
Edmonds (beginning phases): Kody McConnell at 425-771-0235 ext. 1635 or kody.mcconnell@edmondswa.gov.
Everett: 425-257-8800, www.ci.everett.wa.us
Lake Stevens: 425-377-3231, awells@lakestevenswa.gov, www.ci.lake-stevens.wa.us
Marysville: Paul Kinney at 360-363-8100 or pkinney@marysvillewa.gov, marysvillewa.gov
Stanwood: Lisa Sokolik at 360-629-9871, www.ci.stanwood.wa.us
Snohomish County: 425-388-3137, 425-388-6438, adele.barilleaux@snoco.org, snohomishcountywa.gov
Most programs require volunteers to be at least 15 years old. There are definitely forms to fill out.
Some cities and towns don’t have Adopt-a-Street programs, often due to the staffing requirements.
