EVERETT — Justin Beretta’s hat trick set the pace as Everett upset visiting Snohomish 14-3 to open its prep boys lacrosse season on Wednesday.
Beretta finished the night leading all scorers, adding five assists for eight points in the contest.
Everett’s Brad Borders won 12 of 19 faceoffs setting the offense in motion, while the defense applied smothering pressure throughout the contest to force Snohomish into 10 turnovers.
Snohomish scoring was handled by Miles Russon with two goals and an assist and Ian O’Hearn with a single goal.
