Tulips already are blooming in the Skagit Valley.
The early spring forced the blossoms, which normally peak in April during the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
If you postpone your visit to take advantage of festival events, go early in April. The farmers will top the tulips earlier this year.
If you go during the last week of March, not all the tulip fields will be in bloom and festival won’t be going, but you’ll see the tail end of the daffodils.
Go online to www.tulipfestival.org for more information about the festival and a map of the tulip fields.
The Roozen family of Washington Bulb Co. has opened their Roozengaarde display garden and the DeGoede family of Skagit Valley Bulb Farm has opened Tulip Town.
