EDMONDS — The U.S. Coast Guard towed a boat to the Edmonds Marina on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-foot boat had come too close to shore and bottomed out just south of the Port of Edmonds, said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.
The fire district responded at about 12:30 p.m. It deployed a rescue boat but the crew was unable to tow the boat that was stuck because the water was rough and the wind was blowing, Hynes said. The crew waited with the two people on board for about two-and-a-half hours until the Coast Guard arrived.
