Maxine Brink

Life need not be over for those diagnosed with dementia—or their families. Poet Maxine Brink reads from “Finishing Touches,” her chapbook of poetry about dementia this afternoon in the library auditorium, 2702 Hoyt. The program is free.
Brink’s poems acknowledge dementia’s effects, but she reaches beyond the forgetting and irrational behavior to reach caregivers in their work.
