Monday’s highlights on TV include:
“The Late Late Show With James Corden”: We really don’t know what to expect from Corden, a U.K. native who takes over for Craig Ferguson. But “warmth” is what he’s striving for. “So much of what you see and read is not pleasant right now,” he says. “I (want) a show that reaches out to people and reminds them that there are still wonderful things. I’d love to make a warm, really funny show.” His Week 1 guest list includes Tom Hanks, Kerry Washington, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell. 12:37 a.m., CBS
The ominous-sounding “knockout rounds” begin tonight on “The Voice,” but rest assured that no blood will be shed — unless, of course, Adam and Blake decide to throw down. 8 p.m., NBC.
“It’s Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise” is an entertaining profile of Hilary Knight, who illustrated the highly popular “Eloise” books. The film was produced by one of his biggest fans: Lena Dunham. 9 p.m., HBO
