U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen used the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act to tout the virtues of the health care law.
Larsen said Monday that the law is working for thousands of families across Washington state, adding that people can get health care more easily as a result of the law.
“The uninsured rate is at its lowest recorded level and health care costs are rising at the slowest rate in nearly 50 years,” Larsen said. “I have heard from people in northwest Washington who were able to find coverage that better fit their needs, and who otherwise would not have been able to afford health coverage.”
Larsen represents Washington’s 2nd Congressional District, including Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Brier; coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham; and all of Island and San Juan counties.
