SEATTLE — The state patrol says that a woman who tried to make a U-turn on I-5 caused a five-vehicle crash near Boeing Field.
KOMO-TV reported that the crash just after midnight on Thursday blocked several lanes, caused a traffic back-up for more than an hour, but no one was seriously injured.
Troopers say the woman who caused the crash is in custody for investigation for DUI.
The five damaged vehicles were scattered across the freeway and an oil spill blocked three lanes.
Troopers say the driver made the U-turn and was struck by a pickup, which triggered a chain reaction causing three other vehicles.
The freeway reopened by 2 a.m.
