A man died Sunday morning after he crashed a car on the 41st Street bridge over I-5.
Everett police were dispatched to the accident at around 9:40 a.m. Officers found the man dead. He had hit a pole in a Chevrolet Camaro
Investigators determined that the man had taken the 41st Street exit from southbound I-5. He did not stop at the intersection, drove over a raised median and hit a sign. He then crossed five lanes of traffic and hit a cement pole.
Detectives believe speed was a factor in the crash.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office took the man’s body to identify him and determine cause and manner of death. No other injuries or collisions were reported.
The northbound exit and southbound entrance ramps at 41st Street and I-5 were closed while officers investigated. All lanes were open by around 12:30 p.m.
