Snohomish County exec, wife to be given ‘Medal of Merit’

The Lions International Medal of Merit Award will be presented to John and Karen Lovick at a reception and award ceremony fund raiser. The event is at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Xfinity Arena in Everett. Tickets are available by calling 425-387-9256. The event is sponsored by Everett Central Lions Club.

New affordable apartments open in Everett, Lynnwood

Mercy Housing Northwest celebrated the opening of the newly-renovated Family Tree Apartments in Everett and the Lincoln Way Apartments in Lynnwood with a dual ceremony on March 24. The 199-unit renovation project was financed by U.S. Bank to help improve the area’s affordable housing options. Residents of both affordable housing communities remained onsite during the rehabilitation.
