STANWOOD — Jack Delich continued his dominance on offence as Stanwood advanced to 3–0 on the season with an 8–6 defeat of Snohomish in North Sound prep lacrosse action at Stanwood Middle School on Tuesday.
The junior midfielder finished the night with four goals and three assists along with nine ground balls as the Spartans built a 5–3 lead at the half, then withstood a two-goal Snohomish third quarter to take a narrow 6–5 lead into the final period. In the end Stanwood outscored Snohomish 2–1 in the fourth to hold on to the win.
Alex Major and Kane Ayling rounded out the top scorers for the Spartans with two goals apiece, while goaltender Jeremy Smith had a strong night between the pipes recording nine saves.
Snohomish was led by Alex Wartes with two goals. Cade Lichfield had a strong night in goal recording 10 saves.
