*A reminder that today is April Fools’ Day, so just about everything you see on the internet should be questioned… But that being said, this appears to be legit.
Will Tukuafu, the Seahawks’ fullback and occasional defensive lineman last season, posted on his Instagram account that he has re-signed with Seattle. Tukuafu, who spent his first four seasons in San Francisco, signed with the Seahawks last season after starting fullback Derrick Coleman broke his foot. The 6-foot-4, 293-pound Tukuafu served almost exclusively as a blocker in the backfield, carrying just once for 2 yards while also catching one pass for 4 yards.
Tukuafu also served as a part-time defensive lineman, helping fill in late in the season in particular when injuries took their toll. Presuming Coleman is fully recovered from his foot injury, it is possible the Seahawks will look at Tukuafu as more of a defensive line option going forward.
