PROSSER — A Grandview man accused of shooting his lover’s husband is being held on $100,000 bail in Benton County Jail.
The Tri-City Herald of Kennewick reported that Consaucion Rabadan-Medina pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault with a deadly weapon in Benton County Superior Court on Thursday.
Court documents say that Rabadan-Medina went to the Prosser home of Francisco Ocampo Villalba and shot at him when he arrived home. Rabadan-Medina told investigators he fired shot but said it was in self-defense.
Prosser police Sgt. Ed Blackburn says the evidence shows the bullets hit the rear and the passenger side of Ocampo Villalba’s vehicle, indicating that he was trying to drive away during the attack.
Ocampo Villalba was wounded and treated at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
