SHORELINE — Justin Beretta scored a season-high six goals as Everett downed Shorecrest in North Sound boys lacrosse action Wednesday.
Everett built a 12–3 lead at the half on a young Shorecrest squad struggling with 11 freshmen and sophomores on its roster. By the third, Everett outscored the Scots 5–1 to take a 17–4 lead before adding three more while giving up just a pair in the final quarter.
Beretta’s six points — all on goals — gave the home-schooled junior 18 points (12g, 6a) on the season to lead all Everett scorers. Luke Rodgers, a Jackson sophomore, and Sean Hess, a Lake Stevens senior, rounded out the scoring leaders for Everett. Rodgers had four goals and Hess had three goals and three assists.
