What: Picea Acrocona
A knockout evergreen commonly known as Norweigan Spruce. Its shape is a pleasing pyramid type and it produces the most colorful red cones in the spring. The new foliage of lighter green corresponds beautifully with the carmine red cones. This beauty can be grown as a simple upright shrub or allowed to mature into a small tree. It’s a tree that the deer tend to leave alone, making it a good selection for some areas in Puget Sound that experience problems with deer. Birds find it very attractive, making it a tree worthy of consideration for any home gardener.

Size: Typically grows to 10 feet tall in approximately 10 years; 20 feet over time.
