There’s a new dance studio in Everett.
Usually, it’s for women only. But on Friday men are also invited to the open house at Writhe Pole Dance, 2727 1/2 Colby Ave. The meet-and-greet, from 6 to 9 p.m., is a co-ed event with no performances.
Pole dancing is more than sensuous movement. See for yourself. Meet the Writhe team of working moms. Ask questions about pole dancing and get deals on classes.
The goal of pole is to facilitate a change in the female psyche, one pole twirl at a time. The classes are geared for women seeking fitness and enrichment, not a career as an exotic dancer.
The studio, formerly based in Marysville, offers classes, private lessons and pole parties.
