SEATTLE — Seattle police have arrested a man they say set his girlfriend on fire following an argument.
Authorities say John Turner, 62, was arrested Tuesday morning at a downtown shelter after a witness recognized him from an online posting about the case. It wasn’t immediately clear if Turner had an attorney.
His girlfriend was walking through the parking lot of her apartment Sunday night when authorities say she encountered Turner, who allegedly threw an unidentified fluid on her before igniting it. The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she was in critical condition with burns to her chest, face and arms.
