Two join Mill Town Credit Union board

Tami Henderson and Mike Harness were elected to join the board of directors of Mill Town Credit Union in Everett at the 75th annual meeting. Henderson is a 29-year employee of the Everett Clinic and is currently care coordination business manager. Harness previously worked as an analyst for Washington Mutual Bank’s fraud department and is currently working as a paralegal at the law office of Susan Harness.

Bel Red Energy workers earn certification

Several employees of Bel Red Energy Solutions have earned certification from North American Technician Excellence. They are: Jake Phippen, Dustin Thomas, Levi Williams, Scott Anderson, Quinten Smith and Phil Orton. The independent, third-party organization aims to develop and promote excellence in the installation and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment by recognizing high-quality industry technicians through voluntary testing and certification.

Garden club offering scholarship for EdCC’s Horticulture department

The Mukilteo Way Garden Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship in the Horticulture field to be used for 2015-16 academic classes at Edmonds Community College. The deadline for application is May 30. Governor names Edmonds a ‘Northwest Solar Community’

The cities of Edmonds, Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Seattle have been proclaimed “Northwest Solar Communities” by Gov. Jay Inslee. The recognition was for their various initiatives that increased residential solar installations by nearly 200 percent since 2013. The Northwest Solar Communities program develops standardized tools to make the process of going solar simple, fast and cost effective.
