Marysville men sought in hit-and-run turn themselves in

ARLINGTON — Two Marysville men accused of a hit-and-run crash involving an Arlington police car have turned themselves in to authorities.

Rodrigo Loyola-Vasquez, 19, and Martin A. Castro-Ponce, 18, were booked into the Marysville city jail.

“The suspects admitted their involvement in the hit-and-run crash and apologized for their actions,” Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.

The men allegedly were in a white 2004 Buick LeSabre that ran a red light on April 10 and struck a sergeant’s patrol car.

It happened about 10:45 p.m. at 172nd Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard, just east of I-5. The sergeant was not seriously injured. He was taken to the local hospital and released a few hours later.
