EVERETT — A two-run first inning by his offense was more than enough run support for Everett starting pitcher Sam Loomis, who tossed a shutout with three strikeouts to lead the Seagulls past Stanwood in a Wesco 3A North showdown. It was quite a pitching duel Thursday night, as Loomis was nearly matched stride for stride by Stanwood’s Isaac Olson, who surrendered only two runs in the first. The win snaps a three-game losing streak for Everett.
