Funny Film Fest

The Evergreen Cinema Society’s Funny Film Fest is a yearlong series of the funniest films ever made based on critics and the votes of Everett moviegoers. Films are screened at 1:30 p.m. (discussion to follow) and 5:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch Library. April 29: “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Youth film festival

The National Film Festival for Talented Youth is April 23 through 26 at various movie houses in Seattle. Everett’s Adam McArthur has entered four short films in this year’s festival. For more on NFFTY, visit at www.nffty.org.

‘Killer Whales Tales’

The Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Northwest Stream Center is hosting “Killer Whale Tales” at 11 a.m. on April 18 in Snohomish County’s McCollum Park, 600 128th Street SE, Everett. Jeff Hogan, a professional biologist and photographer, brings to life the San Juan killer whale population through amazing photographs and underwater video. Call 425-316-8592 to pre-register. ‘I’ll Be Me’

A documentary chronicling Glen Campbell’s journey navigating Alzheimer’s will be shown 7:30 p.m. April 18 at Edmonds Center for the Arts. The film screening will be followed by a concert by Ashley and Shannon Campbell, Glen Campbell’s children. The tickets are $20 and a portion of the money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western &Central Washington chapter. ‘The Sound of Music’

The iconic film celebrates its 50th anniversary with a theater re-release April 19 and 22 at area theaters, including Alderwood Stadium theater in Lynnwood and Stanwood Cinema. The movie will also be showing at Oak Harbor Cinemas, and Pacific Place and Thornton Place in Seattle. For movie times and more information, visit www.fathomevents.com.

‘Grease’ sing-along

Now is your chance to know what it’s like to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady. Sing along with the songs of the hit musical “Grease” at 7 p.m. April 24 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Tickets are $15 and $20.

Sundance Movie Nights

The Historic Everett Theatre is hosting Sundance Movie Night on the second Wednesday of each month, showing a film that was originally shown at the Sundance Film Festival. There will also be a wine tasting for $10. The movie is free. May 13: “The Queen of Versailles,” 7 p.m.

Movies at the library

Bring your friends, have some popcorn and enjoy a movie at a branch of the Sno-Isle library system. Here’s a look at the upcoming schedule. April 17: “Captain America: Winter Soldier,” Freeland, 2 p.m. April 21: “Rudy,” Granite Falls, 3:30 p.m. April 22: “Big Hero 6,” Arlington, noon.
