BONNEY LAKE — The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says a man fatally shot his wife and wounded her friend before killing himself.
The Seattle Times reported that deputies were called to the Bonney Lake home at about 10:15 p.m. Friday after neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
Deputies found a 33-year-old woman and her 40-year-old husband dead inside the home. Their names were not released.
A friend who was at the house ran outside after being shot. She was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma and is expected to live.
She told deputies the man started shooting because his wife wanted to throw him out of the house.
Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer says the man shot off a bunch of rounds and the woman likely was caught in the crossfire.
