SEATTLE — The driver of a car was briefly trapped when his vehicle collided with a Sound Transit Link light rail train in South Seattle.
KOMO TV reported that the accident happened just after 11 a.m. Monday. It occurred where the light rail tracks intersect at Martin Luther King Way South.
The accident also knocked over a light pole.
Seattle firefighters freed the driver from the mangled wreckage. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
There were no initial reports of anyone on the train being injured.
All Central Link rail service was temporarily suspended due to the crash.
