Edmonds law firm adds three partners
Beresford Booth law firm in Edmonds has added three partners. Tim Steen is a civil litigator and counselor. Bill Kessler has argued cases to the Washington Court of Appeals and has been admitted pro hac vice to several federal and state courts around the United States. Family law litigator, Dimitra Scott devotes much of her time to litigation.
Inslee recognizes anniversary of UW Bothell
The University of Washington Bothell and Tacoma campuses have been recognized by both Gov. Jay Inslee and the state Senate with a proclamation and Senate resolution acknowledging the 25th anniversary of the state’s newest public university campuses. UW Bothell will celebrate its 25th anniversary in May. UW Tacoma will celebrate its 25th anniversary in July.
Fundraiser planned for Cafe Zippy
Cafe Zippy in Everett is transitioning into a cooperative business. To help raise funds to cover start-up fees, a fundraising event is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Cost is $10. A quarter of the funds raised will go towards Cocoon House — a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and services to homeless and at-risk youth. Purchase tickets here.
Comments sought on Lynnwood contaminated soil site review
The 2002 cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater at the North Lynnwood Shopping Center site in Lynnwood continues to protect public health and the environment, according to a periodic review by the Department of Ecology.
