Prep girls lacrosse: Snohomish 16, Bellingham 3

SNOHOMISH — Sisters Avery and Anabel Ohsman combined for five goals as Snohomish cruised to its fifth girls lacrosse win of the spring with a 16–3 victory over Bellingham Thursday night at Glacier Peak High School.

Snohomish jumped out to a commanding 11–1 lead by the intermission. Avery Ohsman finished with three goals and an assist to lead all scorers and Anabel Ohsman added two goals and an assist. The two Glacier Peak students were among nine Snohomish players to score in the contest including a number of underclassmen who saw playing time in the second half.

One of Snohomish’s younger standouts was Glacier Peak freshman Aenne Thom, who finished with two goals and two ground balls.

“Our younger players did a great job tonight,” said Snohomish coach Christine Ryan. “They were working hard getting great shots off.”

Bekah Jensen, Skylar Lorenz and Elena Bauer all scored for Bellingham.

With three four games remaining in the regular season, Snohomish holds down second spot behind Lakeside and Roosevelt, which are tied at the top of the North Sound Conference.

Snohomish (5-3-0) next faces Stadium (4-3-0) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Glacier Peak High School.

Thursday night’s game was previously scheduled for Civic Field in Bellingham but was relocated to Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish.
