EvCC Foundation breakfast raises $90,000

The Everett Community College Foundation’s April 21 community breakfast raised more than $90,000 to support student scholarships and college programs. More than 450 people attended the breakfast, which included recognition of student parents and the college’s Early Learning Center. Everett pizzeria participates in Dining Out For Life

Dining Out For Life presented by BECU returns for its 22nd year on Thursday. On this day, more than 100 restaurants throughout the Seattle metropolitan area will donate 30 to 50 percent of their proceeds to community health organization Lifelong to feed those fighting hunger and illness in the community. Better Business Bureau helps with ID protection

Better Business Bureau’s Secure Your ID Day events concluded on April 18 with more than 1,000 participants and seven tons of personal documents destroyed. BBB and its partnering organizations helped secure identities, provide financial support to consumers and safely recycle more than 2,000 pounds of electronics. Hotel occupancy sees decline in county for third month

According to the Smith Travel Research report for March 2015, Snohomish County was down in occupancy — both for March and for the third month in a row. March saw a 7.6 percent decrease in occupancy, up 3.2 percent in average daily rate and down 4.7 percent in revenue per available room. The county was fourth compared to all participating counties for the month.
