Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling plans to run in the coming election for a second four-year term.
Earling registered with the State Public Disclosure Commission early this week as a candidate for re-election.
Registration with the Public Disclosure Commission allows candidates to raise and spend money for the coming election. Candidates file for ballot position Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15. If three or more candidates file for this or any position, the position will appear on the August primary ballot, with the top two candidates advancing to the November general election. Any position with only one or two candidates appears only on the November ballot.
Earling already reports raising $15,850 from 38 donors.
He has no declared opponents.
