BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — A high school teacher is being held on bond after she was arrested Thursday on a first-degree sexual misconduct charge.
The Kitsap Sun reports the Bainbridge Police investigation started in February when teachers reported claims that 26-year-old chemistry and biology teacher Jessica M. Fuchs had sex with an underage male student.
Charges included communication with a minor for immoral purposes, and were filed after police received forensics lab results of an examination of electronic devices.
The first-year Bainbridge High School teacher has been on administrative leave since February.
