KENT — Kent police say they impounded two vehicles linked to a drive-by shooting that claimed the life of a baby girl.
The 1-year-old, Malijha Grant, died after being shot in the head April 16 as she rode in a car with her parents.
Police released descriptions of two vehicles seen fleeing the crime scene. One was believed to be the suspect’s vehicle while another was seen closely tailing the suspect vehicle as it fled, a Pontiac Grand Am.
Police said Monday that after inspecting the Pontiac Grand Am that was recovered, investigators determined it wasn’t involved in the shooting.
Detectives are still looking for a Pontiac Grand Am with a burned-out rear, passenger-side brake light.
Investigators say the killing was related to a series of gang-related shootings between Seattle and Tacoma.
