Environmental engineer added at Landau in Edmonds

Edmonds-based Landau Associates has hired Cody Johnson as a senior engineer in the Edmonds Environmental Group. Johnson has a background in environmental due diligence, site characterization, remediation design and hazardous building materials survey work. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Lawrence University.

YMCA raises record amount in annual campaign

The YMCA 2015 Annual Campaign to raise funds for its five branch operations was led by a number of community volunteer leaders. As of April 30, a total of $1,356,321 was raised for the campaign, the most ever in its history. The campaign chairs include:

Marysville chamber to hold After Hours networking event

The next Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours networking event is entitled Swing Into Spring. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Holiday Inn Express, 8606 36th Ave. NE, Marysville. Admission is free and there will be refreshments. Bring 50 or more business cards for networking with businesses from five Chambers.

Enrollment open for Columbia College in Marysville

Enrollment for the June 2015 session at Columbia College-NS Everett/Marysville is now open. The session is set to begin June 1 but students can register through June 3 for online classes. The registration deadline for in-seat classes is June 5. The college offers more than 70 total associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Visit www.ccis.edu for more information.

Housing Hope wins funding for Smokey Point apartments

Twin Lakes Landing, a new complex of 50 apartments in Smokey Point for families in need, was successful in obtaining a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit allocation in the 2015 round. The Housing Hope project has a $7.4 million estimated tax-credit equity. It will include large meeting spaces for employment services, life-skills classes and other services to help residents escape poverty.
