Economic Alliance wins ‘Community Partner’ award
Leadership Snohomish County recognized Economic Alliance Snohomish County with an inaugural Community Partner of the Year Award at its 2015-2016 Signature Class graduation on April 30 at Tulalip Resort Casino. Glenn Coil accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Economic Alliance Snohomish County has partnered with Leadership Snohomish County in a number of ways over the past year.
Marysville expands in-house counsel
Since January, the city of Marysville has doubled the size of its in-house legal counsel. City attorney Jon Walker started in January as its first-ever in-house legal department. In April, Colin Olivers joined the staff as deputy city attorney. Walker came to Marysville from the city of Tacoma. Olivers previously worked for the city of Everett.
Foggy Noggin holds three tastings this week
Bothell’s Foggy Noggin Brewing will be holding three special events during Seattle Beer Week. Thursday features a vertical tasting of the odd number batches of the house ale. Friday is a vertical tasting of the even numbered batches of the house ale. Saturday is the release of batch 1,000. The tasting room is at 22329 53rd Ave. SE, Bothell. The Washington State Board of Health is accepting nominations for the Warren Featherstone Reid Award through June 24. This prestigious award recognizes health care providers and facilities throughout Washington who exhibit exceptional quality and value in the delivery of health services. Check Them Out Online honored in Edmonds
Check Them Out Online, a company that provides background check and screening services for business owners and landlords, was honored with a ribbon cutting ceremony from Edmonds Chamber of Commerce on April 29. The new company has access to billions of records through hundreds of thousands of databases in 50 states and 200 countries.
