SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Shorecrest senior forward Anton Resing scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime period against Squalicum on Thursday night to clinch a state tournament berth for the Scots.
Resing headed the ball into the net via a cross from junior forward Kevin Musar in the 87th minute.
Sophomore forward Haitem Moussaddak provided Shorecrest’s first goal in the 61st minute off an assist from senior defender Nick Shively but Squalicum’s Ben Peterson scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute to force extra time.
Shorecrest will face Anacortes on Saturday in a match to decide the third and fourth seeds in the state playoffs.
