The Seahawks added another tryout player from last week’s rookie minicamp, signing DT T.Y. McGill to the 90-man roster. McGill, who played at NC State, started 21 of 49 career games, totaling 131 tackles, 10 sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss.
McGill, who is listed at 6-foot, 299 pounds, fills the roster spot vacated yesterday when the Seahawks waived/injured DE Tory Slater, who they had signed as an undrafted free agent after the draft. Slater cleared waivers Friday, meaning he reverts to Seattle’s injured reserve list and does not count towards the 90-man roster limit.
