Mount Rainier National Park will be increasing its user fees beginning on Friday.
The park, as well as many others around the country, proposed fee increases last year.
After feedback on the proposed increases, the park decided to adjust some increases and phase them in over time.
Here are some of the fee changes:
- Annual pass: $40 on May 22; $50 in May 2016 (currently $30)
- Single vehicle fee: $20 on May 22; $25 in May 2016 (currently $15)
- Per person walk-up or bicycle fee: $10 on May 22 (currently $5)
- Motorcycle fee: $10 on May 22; $20 in May 2016 (currently $5)
- Single campground fee: $20 on May 22 (currently $12-$15)
- Group campground fee: $60 on May 22 (currently $40-$64)

Olympic National Park will also be increasing its fees. I’ll update with those once they’re released.
