EVERETT — Edmonds-Woodway jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning before things went south against Ferndale in Tuesday’s 3A District Tournament first-round game.
Ferndale answered with eight runs of its own in the first three innings to beat the Warriors and send them to a loser-out game against Mountlake Terrace. Taylor Jones went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Warriors.
Ferndale’s Lauren Maley pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts.
