SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Granite Falls jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and hung on to eliminate the second-seeded Red Wolves in a loser-out game at the 2A District Tournament on Wednesday at Janicki Fields.
Cedarcrest, which ends its season at 17-5, could not overcome six errors by its defense in the game. Five of Granite Falls’ seven runs were unearned.
Taylor Arndt and Lauren Harding doubled for the 15-7 Tigers, who advance to play Archbishop Murphy in another loser-out contest on Friday.
Harding struck out six and walked one in a complete-game effort in the circle.
Kayla Blakslee, Morgan Brown and Rachel Kent doubled for Cedarcrest.
