The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association on Thursday announced a change in venues for this year’s Class 3A and 4A state baseball championships.
Both had been scheduled for Gesa Stadium in Pasco, but were moved because of “unusable field conditions,” the WIAA said in a press release.
The 3A semifinals and finals now will be played May 29-30 at Husky Ballpark at the University of Washington. The 4A semifinals and finals, also scheduled for May 29-30, are moving to Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham.
The game times will be the same at both facilities. On Friday, May 29, the first semifinal is slated for 4 p.m. with the second semifinal scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday’s schedule begins with the third-fourth-place game at 1 p.m. The championship contest follows at 4 p.m.
Ticket prices will remain the same, $9 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens.
