ABERDEEN — Police in Aberdeen say they have taken a woman into custody after a nearly nine-hour standoff at a home where officers found a body on the porch.
Police found the body when they responded Friday afternoon to reports of gunfire.
Officers initially tried to negotiate with the woman by phone but she reportedly told them she had access to guns and wouldn’t come out.
KXRO reported that Sgt. Art Laur says the woman was taken into custody Friday night. He said she was being evaluated by the fire department. No one else was in the home.
Neither the woman nor the dead person was immediately identified.
