I so enjoyed your recent article in The Herald about community paramedic Shane Cooper. (May 11 article by Eric Stevick, “Heading off emergencies.”)
I have had the pleasure of meeting Shane because of my calls to 911 for transportation to the ER, since December, 2014. During one of these calls I was asked if I would like to be contacted by the Community Fire Department representative. Because of this, Shane has been to my home twice helping me sign up for community services.
Shane has called to check on me, because my name showed up on a recent 911 call list. He said he will contact me again in a month to see how I am doing. Shane said I am on his December calendar to take me to apply for my Washington photo ID, since that is when my driver’s license expires.
Shane Cooper is my friend and I deeply appreciate his services to the community.
