VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police say a credit union customer was stabbed after trying to intervene when another man robbed the business.
Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says the male customer who tried to help Tuesday afternoon at the IQ Credit Union was stabbed in the stomach. She says the injuries do not appear life-threatening.
Kapp says a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt entered the credit union and a bank employee told him to remove his hood, since they’re not allowed inside the business. The man demanded money and got an undisclosed amount of cash. That’s when the customer tried to intervene and was stabbed.
Police are looking for the robber.
