SPOKANE — Lake Stevens’ Mak Sundvor shot a 78 to tie for eighth place after the first day of competition at Indian Canyon Golf Course on Wednesday, leading six local players to make the cut of 87.
Kamiak’s Hannah Lee and Renee Kwak fired rounds of 83 and 84, respectively, to tie for 21st and 25th place.
Snohomish’s Vreni Todd carded an 85 to tie for 30th, Kamiak’s Olivia Kim shot 86 to tie for 33rd, and Jackson’s Sydney Majors finished with an 87 to tie for 37th.
Sundvor is 10 strokes behind the leader, Olivia Benzin of Bellarmine Prep.
