KENNEWICK — Kamiak doubles Joseph Lee and Garrett Peterson advanced to the semifinals of the boys 4A state tournament at Kamiakin with a 6-1, 6-7, 7-5 win over a team from Lewis &Clark.
The Knights play Eastlake’s Thiago Banderia and Aashray Anand Saturday for a spot in the finals.
Shorecrest’s Nishaant Limaye will compete in a singles semifinal of the 2A state championship at Nordstrom Tennis Center after defeating Washington’s Khoa Nguyen 6-1, 6-0. Limaye takes on Olympic’s Tye Loan on Saturday.
Limaye will be joined by fellow Scots Nick North and Daniel Wacker, who defeated doubles competitors Michael Pelton and Alex Wisdom of Mark Morris 6-2, 6-2.
North and Wacker also play Saturday at Nordstrom Tennis Center against the winner of Bellingham’s Nathan Pearsall and Logan Schilder versus Selah’s Othon Hamill and Lucas Mahugh.
3A Girls
On the girls side, Edmonds-Woodway’s Myint-Zu Kyaw and Hanna Rehnfeldt defeated Kamiakin’s Courtney Hall and Rachel Young 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the 3A semifinals, also played at Kamiakin. The duo takes on Mercer Island’s Gabby Venditti and Lydia Venditt on Saturday.
