SEATTLE — Shorecrest won the team 2A state championship Saturday at Nordstrom Tennis Center after a first-place finish in the doubles competition and a third-place finish in singles.
Scots duo Nick North and Daniel Wacker took home top honors by defeating Bellingham’s Nathan Pearsall and Logan Schilder 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 in the semifinals and Liberty’s Marek Pierepiekarz and Matthew Cao 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the finals.
Fellow Scot Nishaant Limaye finished third in singles after defeating Sehome’s Max Schmotoloko 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.

Kamiak duo Joseph Lee and Garrett Peterson finished in fourth place after falling to Eastlake’s Thiago Banderia and Aashray Anand in the semifinals at Columbia Basin Racquet Club.
3A girls
On the girls side, Edmonds-Woodway’s Myint-Zu Kyaw and Hanna Rehnfeldt finished third in 3A girls doubles competition at Kamiakin after defeating Interlake’s Lina Larson and Jessica Liang 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.
The Warriors lost to Mercer Island’s Gabby Venditti and Lydia Venditt 0-6, 7-6, 6-2 in the semifinals.
