INDEX — Four people were taken to area hospitals following an accident on U.S 2 on Sunday.
The accident was reported just before noon at the highway’s intersection with Index-Galena Road, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Francis.
A Kia with three passengers was southbound in Index-Galena Road and turned left onto eastbound U.S. 2, he said. It collided with a westbound Ford Ranger pulling a boat trailer.
All four people were taken to area hospitals.
Traffic through the area was alternating on one lane for about 3 1/2 hours.
