Ballinger Park plan
Mountlake Terrace officials have scheduled a meeting Tuesday to help draw up a master plan for Ballinger Park. It’s set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ballinger Clubhouse, 23000 Lakeview Drive. People will have the chance to see concept drawings with potential park features.
About 75 people attended a prior meeting in April about the park. The 42-acre property was previously a municipal golf course until 2012, when the course operators stepped away and the city began using the area as parkland.

Lake Stevens seeks input: Lake Stevens city planners are hosting an open house to gather information for the city’s 2015 Comprehensive Plan update. The plan looks ahead 20 years, to 2035, in order to predict what public services and infrastructure will be needed. Officials want to know: who will live in Lake Stevens; where will they work; how will they get around; what will they do for fun; where will they shop and dine. The plan addresses housing, roads, business development, parks and public safety.
The open house is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Stevens Fire District Conference Center, 1825 S Lake Stevens Road.
