Muzzy scored South Whidbey’s first run and picked up the save in Friday’s 1A state semifinal victory over Cashmere. Muzzy also had a double in Saturday’s state-championship loss to Hoquiam.

Taggart went 3-1 to help Everett to a second-place finish at the 3A state tournament this past weekend. Taggart struck out 26 batters in the Seagulls’ three state victories and added the game-tying home run in the bottom of the seventh inning in a semifinal victory over three-time defending state champion Kamiakin.

Archbishop Murphy | Boys Soccer
Astone scored two goals and added an assist in Archbishop Murphy’s 3-0 win over Fife in the 2A state championship game on Saturday.
Isaac Westlund
Archbishop Murphy | Boys Track
Westlund won the 2A state championship in the 400 meters on Saturday with a time of 47.84. Westlund’s victory came after finishing second in the same race at state a year ago, falling by three-hundredths of a second to River Ridge’s Dejuan Frye, who he beat for the title this year.

Mountlake Terrace | Girls Track
Okoronkwo won her third straight 3A state championship in the triple jump, her second consecutive state title in the long jump and her first-ever state championship in the pole vault this past weekend at the state meet. She tied the meet record in the pole vault and broke her own meet record in the triple jump.

North and Wacker defeated Bellingham’s Nathan Pearsall and Logan Schilder 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 on Saturday to win the doubles title at the 2A state tennis championships.

Edmonds-Woodway | Girls Tennis
Kyaw and Rehnfeldt defeated Interlake’s Lina Larson and Jessica Liang 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 on Saturday to finish third at the 3A state tennis championships doubles tournament.
Ethan Casto
Snohomish | Boys Golf
Casto shot a two-day score of 139 to tie Issaquah’s Zach Overstreet for first place after 36 holes of the 4A state tournament this past Thursday. Casto finished second overall after falling to Overstreet on the third hole of a playoff.
Charis Tsai &Hannah Roh
King’s | Girls Golf
Tsai finished with a two-day score of 155 and Roh finished at 157 to finish second and third, respectively, at the 1A state championships at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. The pair helped lead King’s (45 points) to the team championship.
