EDMONDS — The search continues for a group of men suspected in a June 15 home-invasion robbery in Edmonds.
Detectives on Wednesday released a new sketch of one of the men involved, based on descriptions from the victims.
The man is described as Hispanic and in his late 40s or early 50s. He is about 5-foot-7 and around 220 pounds, with “a large pot belly,” according to the police bulletin.
Detectives already have identified others they want to speak with, they said Wednesday. They also are seeking information about a boxy white sport utility vehicle, possibly a Jeep Cherokee or Land Rover, that was seen in the area.
The SUV driver was white, in his 40s or 50s, and had brown hair and wore a dress shirt. Another man seen with the SUV was white, in his 30s and had black curly hair. He wore a blue-and-black plaid shirt. One of the men carried a large tube, apparently the type for storing documents, and a “small black leather-type pouch” also was seen.
The robbery occurred in the area of Pine Street and Eighth Avenue S. The robbers burst in on a woman in her 80s and a man in his 90. They pair was ordered to sit while the robbers ransacked the house. The victims were unhurt, but shaken by the ordeal.
