Real estate agent joins Re/Max in Edmonds
Realtor John Lange has joined Re/Max Direct Realty in Edmonds. Lange brings more than 20 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate to the office, including land development and management of investment properties. He also has more than 13 years of experience as a certified financial planner and a Registered Securities sales representative.
EvCC joins Boeing program
Everett Community College is the first community college in the nation to join five universities in a Boeing-led collaboration to close the skills gap in aerospace engineering. Boeing created the Aerospace Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering program in 2013 to help the next generation of aerospace employees learn through real-life collaboration. Students will be able to manufacture what they design.
Port of Everett receives clean audit from state
The Port of Everett achieved another clean audit, marking the 18th consecutive year with no findings reported by the State Auditor’s office. Representatives from the Washington State Auditor’s Office visited the Port in mid-2015 to review its financial documents from January 2014 through December 2014. The scope of the audit focused on three primary areas: procurement, financial condition and safeguarding assets.
Washington’s workers see biggest wage increase in eight years
Washington’s average annual wage increased by 4.2 percent in 2014 to $54,829, according to the state Employment Security Department — the largest percentage increase since 2007. The average weekly wage rose to $1,054 — up from $1,012 in 2013. These figures include only those wages that are covered by unemployment insurance.
