EVERETT — The Everett Public Library is encouraging people to bring their used CDs, vinyl records and cassette tapes to exchange for swap tickets that they then use to “buy” other recordings at a music swap and concert from noon to 3 p.m. July 11 at the library.
The free concert will feature popular Everett bands Fauna Shade and Crater Lakes. You don’t have to be a swap participant to attend the concert.
People have one last chance to turn in their recordings for swap tickets, from 1 to 5 p.m. July 5, at the library, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
These must be original items only; no copied or “burned” albums will be accepted, library officials said. On July 11, swap participants will be able to look through the dropped-off recordings, which will be sorted into categories, select items they want and then exchange their swap tickets for the “new” recordings.
The library also will have a table of CDs for sale, and Fauna Shade will have its own music and merchandise available for purchase.
