“Groundwater and Camano Island Aquifers”: 6 to 8 p.m. July 29, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Snohomish Conservation District will co-host a presentation on Camano Island’s aquifers by Doug Kelly, Island County hydrogeologist. Island County staff will present their findings on the water quality of the Triangle Cove watershed. Local conservation groups such as WSU Shore Stewards will be available to talk about volunteer opportunities on Camano. Call Kathryn at 425-377-7024 for more information. Evergreen Arboretum workshops: July through September monthly gardening classes will be held at Sunnyside Nursery, 3915 Sunnyside Blvd., Marysville, instead of at the arboretum due to mitigation work at Evergreen Arboretum &Legion Park. Nov. 14, Attracting birds to your landscape: Pilchuck Audubon Society. Learn fun ways to attract local bird life to your own backyard. Dec. 5, Giftmaking workshop for kids: Hap Wertheimer. Projects for children ages 6 through 10. Parents are encouraged to participate. Limited to 15 people.

Snohomish Garden Tour: noon to 5 p.m. July 26.Tour urban gardens in and around historic Snohomish. Proceeds fund community projects including grants, scholarships and the hanging flower baskets in downtown Snohomish. Buy tickets at www.snohomishgardenclub.com, local merchants and on tour day at Snohomish Senior Center, 506 4th St., starting at 10:30 a.m. Tickets $12. Children under 13 are free.
